The 3rd Meeting of Technical Advisory Taskforce (TAT 7/21 Meeting) was presided over by H. E. Dr. Tu Hkawng, Union Minister for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, National Unity Government, on 4th May 2021.
During the meeting, the Union Minister mentioned that the current efforts would remain as a model for reference in the future, adding that the whole country needs to have a revolutionary process. He explained that the department structure and decisions would be decided in after coordination and with a consensus, and pointed out that department heads who are threatening CDM staff will be prosecuted and that efforts are being made to support the salaries of the staff involved in the CDM by the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Investment (MOPFI).
The decisions made at the meeting are as follows:
(1) To formulate interim action plans of each department as soon as possible.
(2) To take prompt action against the relevant department heads who are threatening CDM staff.
