The first online conference between the National Unity Government of Myanmar and the Japan Parliamentary Group Supporting Democratization in Myanmar was held on May 26, 2021. After the conference, a joint statement was issued by the two parties and signed by Duwa Lashi La, the Vice President of the National Unity Government (NUG), and Mr. Masaharu Nakagawa, the President of the Japan Parliamentary Group Supporting Democratization in Myanmar.
