An Outlook on CDM Staff

1. The National Unity Government remarkably acknowledges each and every civil servant who joined the CDM with strong determination and great personal sacrifices, standing together with the people of Myanmar. We take the safety and provision of living assistance to these CDM-affiliated civil servants as our first and foremost priority.

2. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation (MONREC) under the NUG is also accelerating counter-actions against all the non-CDM staff, especially senior officials, who support the military regime and impose threats and pressures on CDM staff.

3. In addition, we would like to remind that the CDM staff who were removed or dismissed from their current positions are not responsible to return no-interest-loans (equivalent to a two-month-salary) provided by the former civilian government, as they has been officially approved by the NUG for the staff welfare, and compensate obligation fees based on the service years, as it is an offensive threat by military dictators taking advantage of the social contract between civil servants and the government.

4. Since CDM-affiliated government employees have courageously sacrificed their valuable careers for our civil rights and liberty deserve, we are trying our best, in accordance with the guidance of National Unity Government, to ensure the protection of the CDM-affiliated civil servants’ social security and regard their futures as our top priority.
