After the illegal coup staged by the terrorist military council on 1st Feb of 2021, Myanma Timber Enterprise (MTE) has been continuously selling timber log/lumber to the private timber enterprises, companies through tender system for fulfilling the cash need of the military council.
Such action taken by MTE helps thrive the terrorist military council and also constitutes a financial contribution to the atrocities of the military on the people of Myanmar including their property.
Therefore, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation of the National Unity Government (MONREC-NUG) hereby urge all private timber entrepreneurs/companies not to join and buy the logs/lumbers from the domestic and foreign tender event planned to be held on 23rd, 24th and 29th June, 2021 by the MTE under the control of the terrorist military council.
The National Unity Government firmly believes that private timber entrepreneurs and companies will respect and stand for the will of the people who are defying against the military dictatorship by not attending the timber auction held by MTE of the military council.
